Truly I Tell You: A Prayer Notebook
This prayer notebook has been a long time coming, and its story includes plenty of twists and turns. Remember the Advent Planner we offered as a free printable in our subscriber goodies a year ago? We were dreaming about this product way back then.
We wanted to create a tool that would help women center themselves, find a sense of peace amidst life’s scurry, and get back to prayer. We put the idea on the back burner. As it was, we were short on time.
But then COVID hit this spring. Suddenly we were at home. We were praying more ourselves. We had a lot more “free” time. We found ourselves with plenty of energy to tackle this project. Hmmm…
And then we heard Terry’s story… Hmmm…
So, we floated our journal idea to a few close friends, just to gauge interest. We quickly discovered that it sparked excitement in many hearts. Hmmm…
How did this prayer notebook come about?
Feeling called to put pencil to paper, we started tinkering. The ideas poured out! We created pages to show some friends. We listened to their feedback, made tweaks and edits. We showed a few more friends. We listened to their feedback too, and made more tweaks and edits. With every “beta tester,” and every focus group throughout the development process we were encouraged by energy and excitement, positive feedback and great ideas to incorporate. What you see today is the work of many hearts and hands, and we are thrilled to share it with you! We hope you’ll love it and find it useful as a creative expression of prayer and praise.
Our prayer is that this notebook will inspire you to stop and listen to God’s whispers – capture those beautiful outbursts of praise and prayer, develop a habit of deeper conversation with our Lord. Who knows? Maybe this little book will become a cherished keepsake you’ll look back on years from now.
